To cap our Dumaguete Ride, we decided to visit Cambais Falls in Alegria, Cebu as our last place to visit and to take a dip as our bodies are longing to submerge in a cold refreshing water. Indeed, it’s the best place if you want to have a refreshing cold swim. Located just a few kilometer ride going to top from Alegria proper near the Cancalanog falls. It is accessible by motorcycle but the road has twisties and curves and is kind of dangerous as it has no road side protection or railings and one overshoot will lead to a very high fall from the top of a mountain. Just be careful upon going to Cambais Falls by your motorcycle.
After all the challenging road, it’s now time for a short trek going to Cambais Falls itself. It’s like a 30 min walk from the motorcycle parking area (you will know that this is the place to park and the access to the waterfalls as it’s very crowded and has some small vendors in the area). I didn’t expect to trek that long but it’s all worth it.
After the long walk we finally reach the registration area. Accessing the falls cost you around 30 php per head. After paying everything we went forward again and few steps we finally reach the first level of the falls. The first level has sweet view and cool green waters with a little waterfall as well has tables and chairs if you want to chill in the area. We decided to take a group selfie from the top of the falls and after that we continued to the 2nd level.
The second level of the falls is much better for picture taking and also good for swimming as it’s quite deep enough for you to swim. Done a lot of picture taking at the 2nd level as well as swimming. An hour or two is already enough for us and this caps our Dumaguete ride and gone home after the Cambais Falls. If you are planning an Alegria travel, be sure to visit this one of the Alegria tinago falls and surely you’ll enjoy it.
Stay tune for our next rides!
